The Spanish Relevo wrote yesterday that it is for Sucic seriously interested Atlético Madrid. Madrid have already invested 185 million euros to bring players like Julian Alvarez, Connor Gallagher, Robin Le Normand and Alexander Sorlothbut they plan to continue bringing in young but top players.
Same the portal has dedicated space to Sučić even today by calling Dinamo coach Nenad Bjelica. Bjelica revealed to the Spaniards that this summer Dinamo rejected a heavy offer of 10 million euros from Italian Como for Sučić.
‘From that moment, Sučić developed impressively and became an indispensable part of the Croatian national team, and he plays for Dinamo at the highest level. It is not surprising that many top teams follow him,’ said Bjelica, who commented on the desire from Atletico.
‘It is a big club. We will see in which direction his career will go. I know he is currently happy in Dinamo and I am happy to train him,’ said Bjelica.
Comparison with Brozović
Many compare Sučić to Marcel Brozović in terms of playing style. Bjelica thinks that Sučić has different characteristics that give him a more attacking-oriented role on the field than the one played by the former Croatian national team player.
‘I see him as a more offensive version of Brozović. He can play six, but he is best at eight. Can he fit in at Atletico? He can join any team. He is a great worker, humble and calm. Many clubs want him, but no one knows where he will end up. I believe it will be a great club,’ Bjelica concluded.
Sučić has a contract with Dinamo until 2028, his value is estimated at three million euros, but it is clear that the Blues will get a much higher price for him. Atlético, the Spaniards write, wants to start negotiations with Dinamo management as soon as possible.
Petar Sučić was born in 2003 and has already acquired the status of one of the most talented defensive midfielders in Croatia. With his excellent games in Dinamo, he earned an invitation to the national team, and he currently has three goals and two assists in the current season for Dinamo, as well as the first goal for Croatia.
