Dinamo Zagreb achieved its second victory in the elite competition under the auspices of UEFA – the goals for the Croatian champions were scored by Špikić, Sučić and Kulenović twice.
The players of Dinamo Zagreb beat the last-placed club of the UEFA Champions League, Slovan in Bratislava, with a score of 4:1.
It started badly for Dinamo, because the home team took the lead in the fifth minute with a goal from Strelec. However, Špikić soon equalized, and after half an hour of play, Sučić put the Zagreb team in the lead. Kulenović finished the job in the second half with two goals.
After four games played in the new format of the “Old Continent” elite competition, the Croatian champion has seven points. At the opening of the season, he was outclassed in Munich, where the German and European football giant Bayern won 9:2.
Then, the Blues won their first point in the next round, playing 2:2 with the French Monaco in Zagreb, and in the third round they celebrated with a 2:0 away game against the Austrian Salzburg.
