Today (Wednesday), the Football Federation hosted a meeting between the technical staff of our country’s youth team and representatives of Iranian football clubs. Mehdi Taj and Hedayat Membini, the President and Secretary General of the Football Federation, along with Hossein Abdi and Hossein Giyazi, the head coach and member of the technical staff of the national youth team, attended the above meeting.

Khyber head coach Saeed Dakhi, Shams Azar head coach Reza Mohajeri, Golgohar head coach Mehdi Tartar, Esteghlal coach Mohammad Nawazi, Pikan head coach Omid Ravankhah and Sepahan team manager Ehsan Baaidi also raised the demands of the clubs in this regard.

Abdi explained about the selection process of players to be invited to the youth team and said that the presence of invited people will help the success of the youth team and Iranian football. Taj also spoke about the need to establish interaction between the clubs and the youth team and said that the interests of both parties should be taken into account so that none of them suffer. The head of the federation also emphasized that he sees this meeting as a good omen and expressed hope that the existing problems will be resolved.

At the end of this meeting, it was decided that the clubs should cooperate with the youth team and make their players available to Hossein Abdi and his assistants for important matches and camps, considering the upcoming U-20 Asian Cup hosted by China.

The Asian Youth Nations Cup will be held from February 24 to March 11, 1403, and the top four teams will advance to the 2025 U20 World Cup in Chile.
