Bayern Munich is reportedly keen to sign Chelsea’s highly-rated young talent, Josh Acheampong, and immediately offer him a spot in their first team.
Chelsea is becoming increasingly concerned about holding on to its promising academy players, with reports indicating a growing sense of distrust within the academy regarding their pathway to the senior squad.
As a result, some of Chelsea’s top prospects have already left, including Rio Ngumoha, who recently joined Liverpool and is now training with their first team in preparation for Premier League action.
Currently, Chelsea is struggling to secure long-term agreements with its academy stars, and Acheampong, in particular, is a key example.
The young right-back has reportedly been excluded from all Chelsea activities after refusing to extend his contract. His last appearance for the club was in September during a Carabao Cup match against Barrow, and he hasn’t played since.
Acheampong’s talent has caught the attention of several top European clubs, with Bayern Munich showing significant interest.
According to Felix Johnston, the German club is ready to offer the player immediate first-team opportunities, making them an appealing destination.
Meanwhile, Chelsea is reportedly working hard to resolve the situation and avoid further delays.
