After the shocking loss to Leganes… Hansi Flick opens fire on the Barcelona duo and holds them responsible for tonight’s loss!

Leganés achieved a historic 1-0 victory over Barcelona in La Liga. Barcelona, currently at the top of the league with 38 points, will face Atlético Madrid next Saturday at the Luis Companys Stadium in a crucial match for the top spot. Meanwhile, Leganés sits in 15th place with 18 points.

Following the surprise defeat to Leganés, German coach Hansi Flick expressed significant frustration with his team’s performance. According to the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Flick specifically criticized Barcelona’s attacking pair, Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo, for squandering several key opportunities that could have secured a win.

In response, Flick made the unexpected decision to exclude both players from the lineup for upcoming games. After the match, Barcelona president Joan Laporta visited the locker room and confronted Flick in an emotional outburst, holding him accountable for the loss due to poor tactical decisions.

Laporta voiced his frustration with Flick’s delayed substitution of Lewandowski, despite his poor performance, and warned that the team was heading toward disaster, similar to the struggles under Xavi’s tenure.

Laporta also suggested that Lewandowski be dropped from the starting XI, with Pau Victor potentially taking his place.

He concluded by reprimanding Lewandowski for his missed chances, which played a significant role in the defeat and could jeopardize Barcelona’s La Liga title hopes.
