Liverpool close to closing in on €45-50m Arsenal & Chelsea transfer target

Liverpool is reportedly emerging as the leading contender to sign River Plate’s promising young talent, Franco Mastantuono, who has also attracted interest from several top clubs.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder is highly regarded as a future star in European football, and it will be intriguing to see which club secures his signature.

Recent reports from CaughtOffside suggest that Arsenal and Chelsea have been closely monitoring Mastantuono, who is expected to be valued between €45-50m. Other major clubs are now joining the race.

According to Spanish outlet Todo Fichajes, Liverpool is currently at the forefront of the pursuit, with Real Madrid and Barcelona also expressing interest.

The report highlights that although Real Madrid and Barcelona were the first to approach Mastantuono, Liverpool now appears to be in the strongest position to secure the Argentine talent.

Liverpool could be an appealing choice for Mastantuono, as manager Arne Slot is building an exciting team poised to challenge for both the Premier League and Champions League titles this season.

However, with plenty of attacking options already in the squad, Mastantuono might find that a move to a different club could provide him with better opportunities for development.

Arsenal, who are currently lacking creativity in that area, might offer him more playing time, while Chelsea has also shown a strong focus on developing young players and planning for the future.
