Regarding the potential signing of Nico Williams, Laporta clarified, “We have never said that we would sign Nico Williams. We mentioned that we could pursue a deal of this scale, like the one for Dani Olmo, which is under €60 million. The sporting management felt it was more important to sign Olmo than other players.”
Laporta also addressed the registration issues with La Liga, stating that the club had been informed that their contract with Nike would allow them to register players and return to 1/1.
However, complications have arisen, as La Liga now claims that they cannot register Dani Olmo or Pau Victor despite the agreement. Barcelona has filed a lawsuit on this matter, with a resolution expected on the 27th.
On the topic of the Grada d’Animació and recent violence concerns, Laporta emphasized that it is not a “witch hunt.” He stressed that the issue is about anti-violence measures, stating, “You say that it is about chants, I am used to chants and I respect them. It is an anti-violence issue.”
