In this context, reports from Spanish media suggest that Barcelona is eyeing German international Leroy Sané, the Bayern Munich winger. Sané, 28, is set to see his contract with the Bundesliga club expire at the end of this season.
According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Sané has been in talks with Bayern for several months about renewing his contract. The publication also notes that Bayern may consider selling Sané if he refuses to accept a significant pay cut.
The report adds that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United have shown interest in the winger. Sané himself has expressed a desire to join Barcelona, play alongside Lamine Yamal and Pedri, and reunite with Hansi Flick.
So far this season, Sané has made 19 appearances for Bayern across all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing 1 assist. He joined Bayern in the summer of 2020 from Manchester City for €49 million.
