Manchester City interested in making move for €60 million-rated Barcelona star – Reports

Manchester City are reportedly looking to sign Dani Olmo from Barcelona, according to Fichajes.net. The Spanish forward’s future at Camp Nou is uncertain due to recent registration issues.

Barcelona acquired Olmo from RB Leipzig last summer for a reported €50 million, but they could only register him with La Liga until the end of last year because of their financial troubles.

Despite efforts to resolve the registration problem, Barcelona has yet to succeed, and as of now, the 26-year-old is not registered with La Liga. The situation is pressing, and if not addressed soon, it could lead to Olmo’s departure.

This uncertainty has attracted the interest of Manchester City, who have long admired the player and believe he would thrive under Pep Guardiola’s guidance.

Olmo’s contract reportedly includes a clause that would allow him to leave Barcelona for free if the registration issues are not resolved promptly. City are looking to take advantage of this clause and secure his signature.

Given their current squad issues, Manchester City may find the chance to sign a player of Olmo’s quality for free too appealing to pass up. If Barcelona does not act quickly, they may struggle to prevent him from moving to the Premier League champions.

In another development, Manchester City are also reportedly monitoring Barcelona’s 15-year-old talent, Baba Kourouma.

A central defender who can also play in midfield, Kourouma has been impressing while playing above his age group in Barcelona’s youth teams. Although he is eligible for Cadete B, he has featured for Cadete A and Juvenil B, showing his maturity.

Barcelona is in talks to secure Kourouma’s first professional contract, which he can sign when he turns 16 in February, though he is said to want to remain at the club.
