The 23-year-old has scored eight goals in 19 appearances across all competitions in the 2024/25 season.
PSG Close to Finalizing Kvaratskhelia Transfer
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that PSG has “agreed every term” of the Georgian winger’s contract. Kvaratskhelia is set to earn a significantly higher salary than his current £32,496-per-week wage at Napoli.
PSG and the player have agreed to a five-year deal, with his salary potentially being four to five times his current pay. Negotiations with Napoli are ongoing, with a meeting scheduled next week to finalize the transfer.
Was Liverpool Seriously Interested?
It’s important to note that Liverpool was not actively pursuing Kvaratskhelia this January, although they certainly recognize his significant talent. David Ornstein reported on Thursday that Liverpool had some interest in Kvaratskhelia and might have considered a move if he became a viable option on the market.
However, now that Kvaratskhelia has confirmed his desire to leave in January, this could be seen as an opportunity for Liverpool’s sporting director, Richard Hughes. Still, PSG appears to have already made significant progress on the deal, making it unlikely that Liverpool will secure the winger.
