UEFA Delivers Bad News for Real Madrid in Champions League
Real Madrid’s hopes of securing a direct spot in the Champions League round of 16 have been dealt a blow.

Even if they win both matches, they would finish with 15 points—just shy of the 17-point threshold. The cutoff for playoff qualification, based on UEFA’s simulation, stands at 7.6 points.
Despite this setback, Real Madrid is determined to finish the group stage on a high note by winning their final two games. Tomorrow, they will face Salzburg at the Santiago Bernabéu, with the Austrian side currently sitting at 32nd in the standings with just 3 points.
