The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Liverpool, with Storm Éowyn bringing strong winds on Friday. However, the forecast suggests no such warnings for Saturday, meaning the upcoming Premier League match is likely to go ahead as scheduled.
Although parts of the city are expected to fall under another yellow warning on Sunday, it seems the Ipswich game is unlikely to be affected, at least for now.
Earlier this season, weather warnings were also in place ahead of the Southampton fixture, but the game went on without disruption.
That said, with high winds already forcing a rearranged game against title rivals, the situation could change, and the final decision on whether the Ipswich match takes place might only be made on match day.
Despite the uncertainty, Arne Slot will likely focus on preparing his team to take on the newly promoted side and secure all three points.
