A world-class star is tired of waiting for Barcelona and is already negotiating a move to another big club in January

Barcelona is encountering significant obstacles in the winter transfer window due to financial constraints, which are hindering their efforts to strengthen their squad. The club had hoped to add a new forward, but discussions with one of their targets have stalled due to slow financial processes and a lack of progress.

According to Spanish newspaper El Nacional, striker Viktor Gyökeres, who had been linked with Barcelona, is growing increasingly frustrated with the situation.

Despite initial interest from Barcelona’s management, the club’s ongoing financial issues and slow negotiations have led Gyökeres to seek alternatives. He has now turned to Manchester United, where he is in talks to finalize a move during this winter transfer window.

This unexpected development comes under the guidance of United’s coach, Ruben Amorim, who previously worked with Gyökeres at Sporting Lisbon.

Amorim is familiar with the Swedish striker’s skills, particularly his goal-scoring ability and physicality. He believes Gyökeres would be a valuable addition to Manchester United’s attack, helping the team compete at the top level in both the Premier League and European competitions.

For Barcelona, Gyökeres was seen as a potential key addition to their offensive line, especially with the uncertain futures of players like Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres.

However, with Barcelona’s financial difficulties persisting, their interest in the Swedish striker has waned. As a result, Gyökeres appears set to join Manchester United, marking a missed opportunity for Barcelona and a significant acquisition for Amorim’s squad.
