CHELSEA‘Complete liability’: Chelsea fans blame just one player for Gvardiol’s equaliser

Chelsea Fans Blame Madueke for Gvardiol’s Equaliser

Chelsea fans are furious after Man City equalized late in the first half, with many placing the blame squarely on Noni Madueke. Robert Sanchez had initially saved a shot from Matheus Nunes, but was powerless to stop Gvardiol’s tap-in.

While it appeared Gvardiol was offside, Madueke inadvertently kept him onside by failing to properly mark the Man City left-back. Despite scoring a quick opener, Madueke’s overall performance in the first half was disappointing both defensively and offensively, leading to fan backlash.

One fan expressed frustration: “How can Madueke not provide any defensive cover and play the entire team onside in one game? Get him off at halftime – he’s a complete liability.”

Other fans echoed similar sentiments, criticizing his positioning: “Madueke played City onside to mark Gvardiol, and still let him outrun him to score?” and “Madueke never checked the defensive line…”
