Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey is confident that Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk will remain at Anfield next season, despite no updates on their contract extensions.
Heskey, however, is more uncertain about Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has attracted interest from Real Madrid, with the Spanish club attempting to sign him this month before his current deal expires in the summer.
Liverpool is negotiating with all three players to extend their contracts but risks losing them for free if no agreement is reached. Heskey believes van Dijk and Salah are almost certain to stay, while Alexander-Arnold’s future is less clear.
Van Dijk, despite being quiet about his contract, is content at Liverpool, and Salah has been more vocal in pushing for a new deal. Alexander-Arnold has kept quiet during negotiations, preferring not to discuss them publicly.
