Historic swap deal between Barcelona and Juventus because of De Jong

Reports have emerged about Juventus’ interest in signing Barcelona’s Dutch midfielder, Frenkie de Jong, who may be open to the move given his apparent desire to join the Italian club.

Barcelona has offered to renew de Jong’s contract, asking him to take a pay cut due to their financial difficulties, but he has yet to respond.

Juventus, in need of a creative midfielder to strengthen their attack, has made de Jong a top priority. The club is reportedly in talks with his agents, and negotiations are said to be progressing smoothly.

Juventus is preparing to engage in discussions with Barcelona over a potential transfer.

De Jong’s current contract with Barcelona runs through the summer of 2026, but no extension has been finalized yet. According to “Sky Sport,” Juventus’ interest is serious, and talks are underway, prompting Barcelona to consider selling him sooner rather than later.

Additionally, “La Gazzetta” reports that Juventus may offer striker Dusan Vlahovic as part of the deal. Vlahovic, who has reportedly turned down an extension, will be a free agent next season, and Juventus hopes to secure some financial return rather than lose him for nothing.
