LIVERPOOL -BREAKING NEWS LIVE: Liverpool may help seal Alejandro Garnacho’s transfer away from Man Utd as bombshell dropped over player they’re ‘watching

Alejandro Garnacho’s future at Manchester United is uncertain, and Liverpool could play a significant role in his potential exit before the transfer window closes.

The Argentine winger’s status at Old Trafford has been in question, with reports suggesting he is not considered “unsellable” due to Manchester United’s financial concerns regarding profit and sustainability regulations (PSR). If United decides to sell Garnacho, it would be a lucrative move since he came from Atletico Madrid for just £420,000 in 2021 and qualifies as an academy product. The club reportedly values him at £60 million, which would make him the third-most expensive player sold in United’s history after Cristiano Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku.

Napoli had been the club most linked with Garnacho, especially after they sold Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain following his transfer request. However, Napoli now face competition from Chelsea, who have shown interest but have not yet made a bid. Liverpool might also play a key role in this transfer saga, as they are reportedly interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi. Should Adeyemi choose a move to Liverpool, it could leave Napoli with little choice but to meet United’s asking price for Garnacho.

Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna recently confirmed the club’s interest in both Garnacho and Adeyemi, but emphasized they would not overpay for either player.

Garnacho has started United’s last two games against Rangers and Fulham, with manager Ruben Amorim admitting that he is still figuring out the best role for the young winger in his system.

Amorim was cautious when asked about Garnacho’s future, stating that “anything can happen” before the window closes.

With just days left in the transfer window, Liverpool’s swift business and Napoli’s ongoing pursuit could ultimately determine Garnacho’s next move.
