The group stage of the 2024/25 Champions League concluded dramatically on Wednesday, with Liverpool, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Manchester City all progressing.
Liverpool finished top of their group, securing an automatic place in the last 16 despite losing to PSV Eindhoven.
Arsenal and Aston Villa also advanced, with Arsenal finishing third, just two points behind Liverpool, and Villa securing an automatic qualification spot ahead of top clubs like Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.
Manchester City narrowly made it through, qualifying for the playoffs after a win over Club Brugge. With the group stage wrapped up, the prize money for each club has been revealed, with Liverpool leading the way, earning £82.7m.
This includes a starting fee of £15.5m, £9.2m for reaching the knockout rounds, and additional payments for market pool, their UEFA coefficient, and points earned. Arsenal earned £74.4m, with a mix of similar payments but a lower coefficient payout compared to Liverpool.
Manchester City, despite not advancing directly to the knockout stages, earned £63.3m thanks to their historical success in the competition, while Aston Villa, the lowest earner of the four Premier League clubs, still received £59.4m, largely due to their qualification and performance bonuses.
