A Liverpool player is now closer than ever to joining Barcelona after being recommended to Hansi Flick, who has given his approval for the player’s immediate transfer.

Barcelona is preparing for an important La Liga match against Las Palmas tonight, as they aim to stay in the title race following an unexpected home loss to the same team earlier in the season.

In the meantime, a significant transfer update has surfaced, with Spanish news outlet AS reporting that Barcelona is making notable progress in their pursuit of Colombian winger Luis Díaz from Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window.

Barcelona’s financial situation has improved, with their salary cap now set at €463.64 million, a €37 million increase, boosting their capacity to make new signings.

Díaz’s representatives have allegedly reached out to Barcelona, following rumors that sporting director Deco is eager to bring the winger to Camp Nou next season. Talks have started to see if an agreement can be reached with Liverpool.

Deco considers Díaz to be a perfect addition to Hansi Flick’s team, particularly since the player has shown hesitation about extending his contract with Liverpool, which runs until June 2027. With Flick’s approval, Barcelona could speed up their efforts to secure the Colombian forward.
