Barcelona to Scout Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Tah Against Atletico Madrid
Barcelona will monitor Bayer Leverkusen players Jonathan Tah and Florian Wirtz during tonight’s Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.
ESPN reports that the Catalan club has dispatched scouts to Madrid to observe the duo in action against Diego Simeone’s team.
Tah has long been linked with a potential free transfer to Barcelona, with some sources even suggesting that a deal is “almost finalized.”
He is expected to join Barcelona’s center-back options next season, alongside Pau Cubarsi, Ronald Araujo, and Inigo Martinez.
Meanwhile, Wirtz is also on Barcelona’s radar. The attacking midfielder has openly expressed his childhood dream of playing for the club, though he has attracted interest from several other teams.
However, securing his signature won’t be easy, as Bayer Leverkusen is reportedly demanding over €130 million for the 20-year-old.
