Cristóbal Soria Steps Out to Make a Spectacle of Himself

Cristóbal Soria, the former Sevilla delegate and regular panelist on El Chiringuito, has sparked yet another controversy on social media. This time, his target was Real Madrid, after Jude Bellingham’s red card at Sadar.

In a video shared on his X account (formerly Twitter), Soria criticized Real Madrid and its response to the refereeing decision. He added a provocative message that stirred up a lot of reactions: “Bellingham tells the referee to go to hell to his face and gets sent off… and now Real Madrid’s experts are threatening to leave the League… they don’t have the guts to do it…!!!”

Soria’s post quickly caught attention. With his signature sarcastic tone, he praised what he saw as referee Munuera Montero’s “courage” in sending off Bellingham. He expressed that referees often avoid making strong decisions against Real Madrid, and he applauded this rare exception.

Soria Hails the Referee’s Courage

In a tweet before the video, Soria also expressed his admiration for the referee’s decision, posting “Your big balls…!!!” alongside an image of Munuera Montero showing Bellingham the red card. His comment made his approval of the referee clear, especially as Real Madrid has been involved in controversial calls in its favor.

Soria also pointed out that since Real Madrid’s statement after the incident in Cornellá, the club has not received a single penalty in its favor, while it has faced two against. He also highlighted that Real Madrid received an expulsion, but no opposing team has been handed a red card.

Despite the backlash his comments often generate, Soria continues to staunchly support actions that benefit Sevilla or Barça while criticizing Real Madrid. His posts consistently fuel division within Spanish football, earning him scorn from Real Madrid fans, who accuse him of using every chance to attack the club.
