He’s The Main Threat” Graham Potter Named Chelsea Man That Caused Problem For Westham

“He’s the Main Threat” – Graham Potter Identifies Chelsea Player Who Caused Problems for West Ham

On Monday night, Chelsea made a strong comeback at Stamford Bridge, overturning a 1-0 deficit to secure a 2-1 victory over West Ham. Though it wasn’t their most spectacular performance of the season, the result was crucial, and fans were likely pleased with the win.

The match also marked the return of former Chelsea manager Graham Potter, who was back at Stamford Bridge for the first time since his departure in 2023. Despite West Ham taking an early lead and holding onto it until halftime, Potter’s team couldn’t maintain the advantage and ultimately lost.

In a post-match interview with Footyvalid, Potter singled out Enzo Fernandez as the biggest challenge for West Ham on the field. The former Chelsea coach praised the Argentine World Cup winner’s ability to control the game from midfield, stating, “He’s the biggest threat, and he has the midfield under his control… He’s a great player who’s yet to fully show his potential.”

Fernandez was instrumental in Chelsea’s performance, especially in the first half when they struggled to assert dominance. His influence only grew after the break as Chelsea surged to victory.

This season, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has leaned on the midfield duo of Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.

However, the pair is set to be joined by 19-year-old Mathis Amougou, expected to arrive from Saint-Etienne, adding further strength and depth to Chelsea’s midfield options.
