Pogba has been without a club since Juventus ended his contract last year due to a doping ban. Though his original four-year suspension was reduced to 18 months, he will be able to play again in March.
The World Cup winner has been linked to moves to MLS, the Saudi Pro League, and a possible reunion with Mason Greenwood at Marseille. Despite these options, former Manchester United player Louis Saha believes Pogba should consider a dramatic return to Old Trafford.
In an interview with Spaceportsweden.com, Saha emphasized that Pogba’s free-agent status allows him to sign with a club after the transfer window closes. He also pointed out that Pogba needs to join a team quickly in order to regain his fitness and adapt to a tactical system.
Saha suggested that Fulham might be a good fit for Pogba, highlighting the club’s welcoming environment where his skills could thrive. He believes Pogba’s experience and creativity could add value to Fulham’s midfield.
However, Saha’s primary choice remains a return to Manchester United. He expressed excitement at the idea of Pogba wearing the United shirt again, comparing his flair and potential impact to players like Neymar and Amad Diallo. Saha is confident that a fully fit Pogba could be a standout performer for the team.
Meanwhile, Manchester United is focused on trimming their squad ahead of the January transfer window deadline. As the team prepares for an upcoming Europa League match against FCSB, Pogba’s return seems unlikely, as the club is currently prioritizing younger, more disciplined players. While Saha still admires Pogba’s talent, United’s current strategy might not align with bringing him back.
That said, Fulham could be a more feasible option, assuming Pogba regains his form. The question remains whether any top European club is willing to take a chance on his comeback after such a long absence from competitive football.
