Due to a string of injuries this week, including Amad’s season-ending setback and sidelining of Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Toby Collyer, Amorim has called up players from the academy to fill the gaps. Jack Moorhouse and Sekou Kone, who has recently recovered from injury, are part of the squad.
Chido Obi, an in-form forward, is also included and could play if United struggle to break down Spurs’ defense. Left-back Harry Amass, previously deemed physically unready, has impressed Amorim and may make his senior debut.
Elyh Harrison, who was kept for first-team depth instead of being loaned out, will also travel with the squad. He had been on the bench in the recent league match against Crystal Palace.
Of the five academy players, Moorhouse, Kone, and Obi are expected to be the most likely to play, and Amorim’s final squad selection will be closely watched as United aim to cope with their injury crisis.
