Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Liverpool have already made contact with Isak’s representatives, while Arsenal also view him as their “absolute top target.”
However, Newcastle are ready to break their wage structure to convince him to stay. Currently earning £120,000 per week, Isak could receive a significant pay increase—potentially surpassing the club’s top earner, Bruno Guimarães (£160,000 per week).
The Swedish forward is reportedly waiting to see where Newcastle finish in the Premier League before making a decision, but if Liverpool want to lure him to Anfield, they may have to offer a contract worth over £200,000 per week—matching the club’s highest earners, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
With Isak’s value rising and Newcastle determined to hold onto him, Liverpool’s owners, FSG, will need to make a major financial commitment to secure what could be a game-changing signing.
