Alexander Isak Favors Liverpool Move Over Barcelona

Swedish striker Alexander Isak is open to a potential move to Barcelona but would prioritize a transfer to Liverpool if the Reds make an offer this summer, according to El Nacional.

Liverpool Leading the Race

With Newcastle possibly willing to sell, Isak is weighing his options, and reports suggest Liverpool has the upper hand in securing his signature. The 24-year-old prefers to remain in the Premier League, making Liverpool a more appealing choice—especially if Darwin Núñez leaves, which seems increasingly likely.

New Liverpool manager Arne Slot is keen on adding a top-class striker and views Isak as a perfect fit for his system. To facilitate the move, Liverpool is even considering selling Diogo Jota. Financially, the Reds are in a stronger position than Barcelona, as the Spanish club would need to offload players to afford Isak’s €120 million price tag.

Arsenal Interested, But Isak Isn’t

Despite long-standing interest from Arsenal and Mikel Arteta, Isak is not currently considering a move to the North London club.

Impressive Season for Isak

The Swedish forward has enjoyed a stellar campaign, netting 23 goals and registering five assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.

With Liverpool actively seeking attacking reinforcements and Barcelona facing financial difficulties, Anfield appears to be the most likely destination for Isak if Newcastle decides to sell.
