Liverpool have emerged as the favorites to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, who is also a target for Chelsea and Newcastle United.

Since Guehi’s contract runs until the summer of 2026, Crystal Palace may choose to sell him this summer to avoid the risk of losing him for free next year.
Newcastle, who pursued Guehi last summer, are aware of Liverpool’s interest and know the Reds have the upper hand in securing the defender. Both Chelsea and Tottenham have attempted to sign him in previous transfer windows but have been unsuccessful.
Guehi could be an ideal replacement for Van Dijk, should the Liverpool captain leave in the summer. The England international is renowned for his defensive intelligence and leadership, similar to Van Dijk.
Under former England manager Gareth Southgate, Guehi has elevated his game and become a regular in the national team, garnering attention from top Premier League clubs.
