In a press conference before Real Madrid’s crucial Champions League clash with Atlético Madrid, Vinícius Jr. addressed speculation about his future and shared his thoughts on refereeing in Europe and LaLiga.

Reassuring Message About His Future at Madrid
Vinícius put to rest any doubts about his departure, stating, “I’m very calm because I have a contract until 2027, and hopefully, I can renew it as soon as possible because I’m happy here. Everyone loves me and cares for me a lot. I couldn’t be in a better place than here.” He went on to express his dedication to the club, saying, “I’m here to continue the story. Everything the president and the club have given me, I want to give back.”

The Brazilian also made it clear that his ambitions are high, acknowledging what it means to play for Real Madrid: “I’ve won, but I can win much more. I can enter the history of this club alongside so many legends.”

Refereeing in Europe and LaLiga
Beyond discussing his future, Vinícius shared his thoughts on the refereeing in both Europe and LaLiga. He noted, “In Europe, they defend players who entertain more.” Having been involved in several controversial refereeing decisions in Spain, he emphasized, “We don’t like to talk about referees, but it’s important that they officiate well.”

As Real Madrid prepares for their decisive Champions League match against Atlético Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, Vinícius will be pivotal in Ancelotti’s plans, aiming to guide the team to another significant European victory.
