Arsenal have been dealt a double injury setback with Thomas Partey and Jorginho both sustaining knocks during the 1-1 Premier League draw against Brentford — just days before their Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid.

Manager Mikel Arteta shared concerning updates, indicating that both midfielders are in doubt for the crucial match at the Bernabeu, where Arsenal aim to defend their 3-0 lead from the first leg.

Ben White is also uncertain for the upcoming fixture, having missed the Brentford match due to fitness concerns.

After the Brentford game, Arteta explained that Partey had to be withdrawn unexpectedly due to discomfort, stating: “He felt something and we didn’t want to take risks.” The manager admitted he hadn’t yet received a full medical update.

Regarding Jorginho, Arteta confirmed the Italian suffered a suspected rib injury, saying he struggled to breathe and couldn’t continue — a sign the issue might be significant.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, received a boost with Dani Ceballos returning to full fitness after being sidelined since February. The former Arsenal loanee is now available for the second leg.
