With the Premier League title now wrapped up, Liverpool are turning their attention to the upcoming summer transfer window.

The club is expected to be active as they look to reinforce the squad and bring in more top-tier talent.

Arne Slot has performed admirably at Anfield despite limited funds for transfers so far, but that could shift this summer, with the club reportedly prepared to support him in building a long-term title-contending side.

According to Empire of the Kop, Liverpool are preparing an opening bid for RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons.

The 22-year-old Dutch international has stood out in the Bundesliga and attracted interest from several top European clubs.

Simons appears to be a great fit for Liverpool

Thanks to his versatility—being able to play in both midfield and attacking positions—Simons is a strong candidate for Liverpool, who value adaptable players.

With fellow Dutchmen Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, and Ryan Gravenberch already at the club, Slot hopes to add another familiar face to the lineup.

This season, Simons has scored 10 goals and provided 8 assists in 31 matches, performing well both as an attacking midfielder and a left winger.

Liverpool eyeing €60m move

The Reds are reportedly ready to table an offer of around €60 million (£51.1 million) for Simons.

Bayern Munich’s Sporting Director Christoph Freund has praised Simons as an “exceptional player,” underscoring the stiff competition to sign him.

In addition, Liverpool’s chances of signing West Ham’s Mohamed Kudus have improved, as they aim to strengthen their attack even further
