Liverpool Close to Signing Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid

According to a fresh update from Fabrizio Romano, Julian Alvarez is set to join Liverpool, with both clubs reaching a full agreement, including personal terms.

The Merseyside club is targeting Atletico Madrid’s in-form striker Julian Alvarez as a major addition ahead of the summer transfer window. The Argentine forward has been exceptional this season, scoring 32 goals and assisting 3 more across all competitions for club and country.

Alvarez, once a promising bench player at Manchester City, has flourished since moving to Spain. Now, Liverpool is reportedly willing to part with Darwin Núñez in a player-plus-cash deal to secure the 25-year-old, according to Fichajes.

A Clear Signal from Liverpool

After clinching the Premier League title, Liverpool appears eager to strengthen further. Adding Alvarez to a forward line that already includes Mohamed Salah, Luis Díaz, Cody Gakpo, and Diogo Jota would significantly boost their attacking power and could help them retain their crown.

Alvarez’s Premier League Comeback?

Having previously played second fiddle to Erling Haaland at Manchester City, Alvarez might be motivated to return to England with a leading role. A move to Liverpool would give him the platform to shine and potentially make City regret letting him go—especially if he helps their rivals claim more silverware.
