Kevin De Bruyne has addressed Manchester City supporters amid growing speculation about his future, with reports suggesting he could leave the club this summer.
The club has reportedly decided not to extend the veteran midfielder’s contract, which means De Bruyne is expected to move on at the end of the season. Many believed the 33-year-old would head to Major League Soccer, but Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claimed on May 7 that Liverpool have made a surprise offer to bring him to Anfield.
Despite limited starts in the Premier League this season—just 17—De Bruyne has made an impact recently, registering two goals and an assist in his last four games across all competitions.
He still has three Premier League matches left—against Southampton, Bournemouth, and Fulham—as well as the FA Cup final versus Crystal Palace, offering him a chance to add to his impressive record.

According to Football Insider, De Bruyne’s exit may be just the beginning of a wider shake-up at Manchester City. Key players like Bernardo Silva, Ederson, Mateo Kovacic, John Stones, and Jack Grealish are also being linked with potential moves away ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Although Pep Guardiola may still end the campaign with a trophy and a second-place league finish, it’s been a challenging season, and a squad overhaul appears imminent. The club has already brought in talents like Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, and Abdukodir Khusanov, but letting go of someone of De Bruyne’s quality could still be a questionable move.
