Despite this, Arsenal are currently seen as the frontrunners in the pursuit. They are said to be in advanced talks with the 26-year-old, reportedly offering him a five-year deal worth around £9 million annually.
A Huge Potential Boost for Liverpool
Should Liverpool manage to outmaneuver Arsenal and United to land Gyokeres, it would be a massive statement of intent — potentially tipping the scales in their favor for another Premier League title.
Gyokeres has had an extraordinary season, netting 52 goals in 50 games. Even accounting for the weaker defences in Portugal, that’s a phenomenal return. He’s also scored six goals in eight Champions League appearances, per Transfermarkt.
