The Reds are focusing on strengthening three key positions: striker, centre-back, and left-back.
One significant expected change is the departure of Darwin Núñez, who has struggled to adapt to Arne Slot’s playing style. The club plans to bring in a more dependable striker to reduce their heavy reliance on Mohamed Salah for goals. Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins is reportedly a leading candidate to take on that role at Anfield.
Concerns over Andy Robertson’s recent form and his long-term future at the club have also pushed Liverpool to look for a new left-back. Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez is currently the top name on their radar.
Despite Virgil van Dijk recently renewing his contract, Liverpool are still aiming to reinforce their defense. Dean Huijsen and Marc Guehi are among the central defenders being considered.
Interestingly, even though Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to leave, the club is not prioritizing the right-back position in this transfer window.
