Real Madrid pursue Vitinha, but PSG demands €130 million for midfielder
Real Madrid have initiated talks about signing Vitinha, but Paris Saint-Germain has made it clear the Portuguese midfielder isn’t for sale—especially not to Real Madrid. According to Defensa Central, Vitinha’s agent Jorge Mendes told Madrid that PSG won’t negotiate and the only option is to pay the €130 million release clause.
Vitinha, 25, is highly regarded by new coach Xabi Alonso, who sees him as a key addition to strengthen the midfield. Alonso’s influence on club decisions is growing, with the board considering his input during early transfer planning.
However, the high price is a major barrier, and Real Madrid are hesitant to pay the full amount, especially with other transfer priorities. The club is still searching for promising midfielders and expects to sign at least one this summer, but a big deal before the Club World Cup seems unlikely due to timing.
