Liverpool Could Loan Out Jarell Quansah After Arne Slot Approval
Liverpool are reportedly open to letting young defender Jarell Quansah leave on loan this summer, following new manager Arne Slot’s approval. Interest is high from several Premier League clubs, with Newcastle United among the potential suitors.
According to former Manchester United and Blackburn scout Mick Brown, who remains well-connected in the football world, Slot is willing to allow Quansah to leave temporarily to gain regular first-team experience. Liverpool’s ongoing pursuit of a new centre-back could further limit Quansah’s opportunities, making a loan move ideal for his development.
Although the club still sees a long-term future for the 22-year-old at Anfield, consistent playing time elsewhere could help his progression. Brown noted Quansah’s impressive rise, including his performances for the U21s and a successful loan at Bristol Rovers, but acknowledged he’s slipped down the pecking order under Slot, behind the likes of Konaté and Van Dijk.
In addition to Quansah, fellow Liverpool player Harvey Elliott could also be on the move. Wolves have expressed interest, possibly using funds from Matheus Cunha’s potential sale to finance a deal. Elliott has reportedly been frustrated by limited game time under Slot, though he’s not actively pushing for a transfer.
Slot appears to be planning a squad reshuffle, with more changes likely at Liverpool in the coming months.
