Barcelona Finalizes First Sale of the Summer Transfer Window
Barcelona has completed its first outgoing transfer of the summer, marking the beginning of a significant squad overhaul. This rebuild is being overseen by sporting director Deco, in coordination with new coach Hansi Flick and club president Joan Laporta.
As part of efforts to refresh the squad and raise funds for new signings, the club is prioritizing player departures. The first to exit is young left-back Álex Valle.
According to Sport, Italian side Como has triggered the €6 million purchase option included in Valle’s loan agreement. This move means Valle will join the Serie B club permanently.
Valle, whose contract with Barcelona runs until June 2026, had been on loan for the fourth straight season. Since joining Como in January, he has impressed and secured a regular spot under manager Cesc Fàbregas.
Though Valle had hoped to break into Barcelona’s first team, the emergence of players like Gerard Martin and the consistency of Alejandro Balde made a return unlikely.
Barcelona is expected to announce more departures in the coming weeks. Among those likely to leave are Iñaki Peña, Ronald Araújo, Héctor Fort, Pau Víctor, and Andreas Christensen.
