Lamine Yamal, 17, Scores Brilliant Goal to Help Barcelona Secure La Liga Title

Lamine Yamal continues to shine this season as the 17-year-old scored a spectacular goal to lead FC Barcelona to a 2-0 victory over Espanyol, securing the club’s 28th La Liga title on Thursday.

The teenage sensation played a key role in the match, not only opening the scoring with a powerful strike in the 53rd minute but also assisting Fermín López for Barcelona’s second goal in stoppage time. Yamal’s impressive goal, where he cut in from the right wing and fired into the top corner, is becoming a signature move in his growing highlight reel.

“I always try my best and today I was lucky it went in,” Yamal told the Associated Press. “I’m very happy I could help the team and celebrate this win.”

The win marked Barcelona’s third domestic trophy this season under manager Hansi Flick, adding to their Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup victories. Despite a painful Champions League semifinal exit to Inter Milan, Flick expressed satisfaction: “Winning three titles is fantastic. I’m very happy and so is the club.”

However, the match was momentarily halted in the first half due to an incident outside the stadium, where a vehicle accidentally struck a crowd, injuring at least 13 people, according to Catalan police.
