Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich has heaped praise on Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, admitting that the young winger has changed his viewing habits. “I used to mostly watch the Bundesliga and Premier League,” Kimmich revealed, “but now I make sure I never miss a Barcelona game—just to watch this little magician.”
The German international emphasized that Yamal’s rare talent has made him the standout attraction in La Liga. “The last time I watched him, he pulled off a dribble that made me call my friend and say, ‘Did you see that? He can’t be 17!’” Kimmich added, clearly in awe of the youngster’s creativity and fearlessness on the pitch.
What impresses Kimmich most, however, is Yamal’s maturity. “He makes decisions like someone who’s been playing professionally for 15 years. It’s unreal,” he said.
Kimmich also shared that Yamal is a frequent topic of discussion in Bayern’s locker room. “Everyone at the club is talking about him. We can’t believe how smart he is with the ball at such a young age,” he noted.
The Bayern star believes Yamal is on track to become one of football’s greats. “If he keeps going like this, he could be as legendary as Messi or Ronaldo,” Kimmich concluded, reinforcing the growing belief that Yamal is more than just a rising talent—he’s already becoming a global phenomenon.
