Liverpool are reportedly targeting Dutch star Xavi Simons as a potential successor to Luis Diaz, amid growing speculation about the Colombian winger’s future at Anfield. Sources suggest the club is seriously considering a move for Simons, who impressed with his performances for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.
Simons, 22, has attracted widespread interest from top clubs across Europe, including Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Manchester United. Leipzig are open to letting him leave but have set a price tag of €70 million.
Liverpool’s new head coach, Arne Slot, is believed to be open to Diaz departing this summer, with Simons lined up as his replacement. Diaz has also been linked with a move to Barcelona, although the Spanish club’s financial constraints may hinder any deal.
