Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of signing Southampton’s 16-year-old defensive prodigy Harley Emsden-James, according to Daily Mail via CaughtOffside. The young centre-back has emerged as a top target, with United currently leading the chase ahead of Premier League rivals Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham.
Despite his young age, Emsden-James has already played twice in the U18 Premier League this season, impressing against older opponents and catching the eye of top scouts across the country.
