Official: Trent Alexander-Arnold Signs with Real Madrid, Set to Compete in FIFA Club World Cup

On May 30, 2025, Real Madrid officially announced the acquisition of right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool. The English defender will be included in Madrid’s squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

Alexander-Arnold has signed a contract with the Spanish giants that runs until June 2031. Real Madrid views him as the top right-back globally and the final piece to complete their team.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Real Madrid paid around €10 million to Liverpool for the transfer. Additionally, Madrid agreed to cover his salary for June and July as part of the deal.

Romano confirmed, “Trent Alexander-Arnold joins Real Madrid and he will play in the FIFA Club World Cup.”
