Trent Alexander-Arnold has officially joined Real Madrid, marking the end of his career at Liverpool. The English right-back arrives on a free transfer, although Madrid reportedly paid Liverpool around €10 million to bring him in before his contract expires on June 30.
To unveil their new signing, Real Madrid released a three-minute highlight reel, prominently featuring Trent’s famous “corner taken quickly” assist from the 2019 Champions League semi-final against Barcelona — a match Liverpool won 4–0.
The video focuses heavily on his offensive contributions, underlining his reputation as a forward-thinking full-back rather than a traditional defensive one.
Trent is widely expected to be the long-term successor to Dani Carvajal at right-back. Under Xabi Alonso, he may also thrive in a more advanced right wing-back role.
