As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Johnny Heitinga will be leaving Liverpool after receiving approval to accept a two-year managerial position at Ajax. This marks a homecoming for the former Netherlands international, who previously played for the Amsterdam-based club.
Heitinga joined Liverpool’s coaching team last summer and was part of Arne Slot’s staff during Liverpool’s Premier League title-winning season. He also has coaching experience from his time at West Ham United under David Moyes.
