Real Madrid Eyes Arsenal’s Rising Star, Aims to Secure His Signature

The Spanish giants finished behind their rivals in La Liga, exited the Copa del Rey early, and were knocked out of the Champions League by Arsenal in the quarter-finals.
These setbacks have pushed club president Florentino Pérez and the management to act swiftly in the transfer market. Their goal: to assemble a stronger, more balanced squad capable of competing both domestically and in Europe.
One of their main targets is Arsenal’s young English talent, Miles Lewis-Skelly. If signed, he would join fellow Englishmen Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the Madrid squad.
Real Madrid is considering Skelly to fill the left-back position after failing to sign Alphonso Davies. According to Football Espana, the club is watching the situation closely, especially as negotiations between Skelly and Arsenal over a new contract are reportedly stalling.
With a market value of €45 million, Skelly’s future is uncertain. The 18-year-old, who joined Arsenal’s first team in July 2024, has played 39 matches across all competitions, scoring once and assisting twice.
