Real Madrid Pull Out of Mastantuono Race, Put Faith in Arda Güler
Real Madrid appeared close to signing River Plate’s teenage star Franco Mastantuono, but Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have now taken the lead. According to AS, PSG are aggressively pursuing the 17-year-old, with manager Luis Enrique already speaking to him multiple times.
PSG has reportedly initiated direct negotiations and are optimistic about sealing the deal. In contrast, Real Madrid has yet to make a formal offer. The Spanish giants have chosen instead to prioritize the development of current talents like Arda Güler, while also keeping an eye on Brahim Diaz and the potential return of Nico Paz.
Although Real Madrid acknowledge that Mastantuono fits their playing style, they’re not in a rush to make a move—especially with their confidence in the young players they already have.
