As of June 4, 2025, Paul Joyce reports that Liverpool have no intention of selling Luis Díaz, despite recent speculation linking the Colombian winger with a move to Barcelona or Saudi Arabia.
The club has not received any formal offers for Díaz and is not actively seeking to move him on. Interest has reportedly come from Saudi side Al-Nassr, who were said to be prepared to offer up to €85 million (£71.5 million), and from Barcelona. Manchester City were also previously linked with him.
Internally, Liverpool are said to be surprised by the renewed transfer rumours, especially considering Díaz’s key role under Arne Slot last season. The 28-year-old played in multiple attacking positions, scoring 17 goals in 50 matches and contributing significantly to the club’s Premier League title win.
Although his strong performances led to talk of a possible contract extension, Liverpool are currently not planning to open new contract talks.
