Cole Palmer Reveals His Top 4 Premier League Players of All Time
Cole Palmer, now a key figure at Chelsea after transferring from Manchester City in 2023, recently shared his picks for the greatest Premier League players ever. Surprisingly, he only chose one Chelsea icon for his top four.
Since the Premier League’s inception in 1992, Chelsea has enjoyed considerable success, winning five league titles. Despite this, Palmer excluded club legends like John Terry and Frank Lampard from his list.

While Chelsea heroes were left out, Palmer focused mainly on attacking talent. Predictably, he included Cristiano Ronaldo, whose dominant first spell at Manchester United made him one of football’s most decorated stars. Ronaldo’s incredible run continued with Real Madrid, earning him five Ballon d’Or trophies.
Another obvious choice for Palmer was Thierry Henry. The Arsenal legend scored 228 goals in 377 appearances and remains a Premier League icon due to his consistent brilliance in front of goal.
Initially focused only on forwards, Palmer asked if he needed to include defenders, but was told his picks could be from any position. That opened the door for Kevin De Bruyne—one of the most influential midfielders in recent years. Known for his pinpoint passing, the Manchester City playmaker has been a constant threat in the league.
Rounding out Palmer’s selections was Eden Hazard, the only Chelsea player on his list. Hazard dazzled during his Premier League tenure from 2012 to 2019, known for his creativity, dribbling, and flair. Though Mohamed Salah might have more goals and assists, Palmer highlighted Hazard’s raw talent and ability to change games.
Hazard retired in 2023, bringing an end to a career remembered for individual brilliance and unforgettable moments.
