Jadon Sancho Reportedly Targeted by Al-Nassr and Other Saudi Clubs Amid Uncertain Manchester United Future
Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has become a surprise target for Saudi Pro League clubs, including Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, according to reports.
Sancho, 25, is set to return to United after Chelsea failed to complete a permanent move for the player. Despite agreeing to a £25 million obligation-to-buy clause, the Blues backed out, reportedly due to Sancho’s £300,000-a-week wage demands, paying a £5 million penalty instead.
Now, as per The Mirror, Sancho is not in United boss Ruben Amorim’s plans and has few options in Europe, with top clubs unwilling to meet his current salary. However, Saudi clubs Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ittihad are reportedly ready to make a £25 million offer—matching what United would have received from Chelsea.
Sancho played 41 games for Chelsea last season, scoring five goals and assisting 10 times, and helped the team win the 2024-25 UEFA Conference League. Overall, he has made 83 appearances for Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Al-Nassr’s sporting director Fernando Hierro confirmed that talks are ongoing to renew Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract, which expires on June 30, 2025. Hierro praised Ronaldo’s impact on Saudi football and expressed hope that the 40-year-old forward will stay, citing his transformative influence and impressive tally of 35 goals and four assists last season.
