Around midday Friday, Romano posted on X, urging fans to “Relax with Florian and Kerkez,” using a meditation emoji to highlight his point.
Later, sensing the message might not have fully sunk in, he reiterated: “Again for Liverpool… relax for both Wirtz and Kerkez. Everything is moving in the right direction.”
In a YouTube update, Romano added that Liverpool officials are scheduled to meet Bournemouth next week to finalize the Kerkez deal. Negotiations for Wirtz are close to completion, with just a few final details left to sort.

Fans naturally want quick resolutions, especially after waiting for days. But big transfers like Wirtz’s — who could become Liverpool’s record signing at over £109 million — typically take time, especially when selling clubs aim to maximize their return.
